About The Blog
It started in 2012, a time where craft blogs were taking over my browser thanks to Pinterest. But I wanted to be funny, not crafty. I was studying web design so why not start a comic blog? I put off making actual content until I’d redesigned the site three times. (All ugly, by the way. I was learning.) It took soooo long to make a comic that I burned out after about a dozen. Also, I had never typed the words “How to start a blog” into the Google, which is the other reason why I failed.
After alllllllll of our websites got hacked in 2015 (Yeah, I thought that only happened in fairy tales.), I looked back on my content and realized the comics were alright, but I was actually laughing more at my writing. 22-year-old Katie was hilarious. “Let’s be her!”, I thought.
That, paired with some encouragement from a few random people led me to not giving up on my dream of writing funny crap and posting it for no money.
I write some. I journal a lot. But I save the funniest stories for here. You’re welcome.
The Short Version
So for now, this is a blog about me learning to write better. The goal is to write a lot, but only publish here whatever is best. Also, to not take myself too seriously. Also, to say ‘also’ less.
